[Files] LTSpice simulation of Two Rock John Mayer Signature Circuit

Post by rccolgan »

I recently went through a LTSpice bootcamp, of sorts, tracing and modeling the Two Rock John Mayer Signature as documented by Amplified Nation's Wonderland layout. I believe it's 95% accurate since I can run the simulation and the tone curves look right :D I embarked on this endeavor after trying to learn about changes I can make in my clone of this awesome amplifier. I don't believe I've seen a Dumble circuits simulated in full using LTSpice (or at least available online) so I figured I'd post it here to forward the progress of understanding these circuits and making changes before physically making changes. If anything looks incorrect and you've made some changes, please do report them and I can commit the change on GitHub.

I'm hosting the downloads on GitHub for the sake of version control. When I make a update or change, GitHub makes it easy for us to monitor my change log and download "releases" if I make large improvements. I plan on adding a Steel String Singer LTSpice circuit soon too which will be on the same repository. Enjoy!

I seem to not be able to actually read any of the content on that screenshot of the ltspice schematic. I see all the components, but even zoomed in they're blurry.

Very cool though, and I like the git repo idea of keeping them available for cooperative work.

Thanks! Yeah LTSpice doesn't have a nice way to export a vector style (PDF) of the circuit so the screen shot was intended to be an example if you download/open the *.ASC file. Hope that's ok

Well I "printed" the circuit via PDF. Works now! :D (See attached)

What resources did you use for your LTspice tutorial?

Hey sorry for the delay. I believe I added the resources in the GitHub repository and linked them in the "main" part of the simulation so it should be plug-and-play. In hindsight I should update the readme to link the source and credit to those resources. Continuous improvement :)
