BTW I use the RGP 30M diode and the sound difference between those and in4007's is very big. Just my two cents...

What is the sound difference?
edit: I just realized these ar equivalent to the 307s

do you use just 2 or do you use the standard 4 as you would with IN4007's?

I just use two and they sound cleaner in the top highs and less saggy.
Very cool upgrade to the 1n4007's. Do not forget the bias ckt diode....

I understand those are made for high freq aplications like televisions where the 1n4007 would explode. In an amp they switch faster and generate less noise in the PS rail. Also the current handling must be bigger compared to the 1n4007 sincethey are a lot bigger. I never checked the data sheets though.
