Re: Pictures of Modded 100K Amp (non HRM)
Thanks for sharing your photos and experience. I've been battleling with a 100k build for the last 2 days. Great in clean mode but not so great in OD mode, on the bench that is. Perhaps it will go better in live situation.
What is the extra trimmer/cap setup on you board? Does it help with tuning the OD section? Where do you get the nice shielded cable, I've searched and can only find thickish(6mm) coax stuff.
Sorry for all the questions, really glad it has worked out for you with this amp.

There is a thread in the other section where I discuss the amp in some detail. What you see is a treble bleed circuit made up of a 250K ohm pot in series with a .001uF cap from the top of the OD maaster volume (100K pot) to ground. I use it in all my amps.tonelab2 wrote:Thanks for sharing your photos and experience. I've been battleling with a 100k build for the last 2 days. The shielded cable came from Apex Electronics in San Fernando, I bought a boatload of it many years ago.

Please let me know about slope resistor.
Is this carbon film?
Which manufacturer, part number?
Thank you so much.

Yes, it is a CF, I think they are Xicon. P/N is 294-47KRC from Mouser.tomo wrote:Please let me know about slope resistor.
