I hope it helps!
it's a pretty easy project, just a little time consuming.

FWIW, I bought one and I am very pleased with the result. It sounds so nice to be able to run effects on my Bludo-drive.Anaconda1126 wrote:VERY cool!!!
Thanks for posting that Funk.
Just out of curiosity, how much do you charge? I might be interested in purchasing one in a couple months.
Highly recommended!
Thanks Brandon...

Are the orange, red, and blue parts of the shielded cables all heatshrink?

yes, I put heatshrink on both the ground drain as well as the signal lead to prevent melt back during soldering, as well as re-inforcing the wire.

Brandon,
I've just finished mine today and the result raises a question...
What sort of attentuation should I expect from the cathode follower side? When I crank the send level to full, I appear to be getting significant attentuation compared to the output from the preamp (For some reason, I was expecting unity gain). I can easily compenstate with gain on the return side, but I'm concerned that I'm getting correct operation.
Thanks! Brian

There should be an attenuation, otherwise I think it would act as more of a distortion stage than a buffer. Have you double checked that you have it wired correctly? You should also try a few different tubes, I have a VTV triode characterizer that I use to evaluate my 12AX7's, I usually choose a balanced tube, or one that is slightly hotter on the CF side.

Problem solved. Extremely stupid operator error - one of my scope probes was on X10. Dooh!

Funk you refer to the " drain " for the grounding, I assume that is the center bare twisted wire used for ground/drain. Then only one of the conductors is used for the signal and the shield is discarded? Or do I twist the foil into a wire and use that as the ground ??

The bare wire is the drain
