Dumble Overdrive Delux pics
This amp sounds really cool, it has very low gain but it "Sings" with my strat. I'd Imagine with a bakelite Ricky it would nail "running on empty"
There were a couple modifications made a few years ago by another tech, so I don't know what the sound was like originally.
All that aside, this thing is kind of a mess, and has a definite "Home-made" quality about it.

Sweet, thanks for the pictures! That amp looks very old school. Am I seeing things right that its from '75?

That is correct, 1975!
I don't know if it was modded later by Dumble, but it has a 500K bass pot with a .001 across, and a 10K tail.
Non Dumble Mods:
the bass cap was changed to a .047, and both the V1B coupler and PI entrance cap were changed to .005uf, the slope resistor was also changed to what looks to be 82K, I didn't measure it.

Cool!
Was this amp gooped?
Are is that stuff just to glue down components for rattles?

The black stuff is paint so you can't see the values of the components, but it comes off pretty easily. So far it's pretty straight forward 70's Dumble.

Any chance of getting a shot of the control wiring?

Funk,
Is the Overdrive a switch or a pot? Also, did you get my PM?
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Dumble Overdrive Delux pics

Amazing amp! I am wondering if anyone has the schematic for the tremolo?
