Some of you asked to see the amp with the non-HRM conversion board, so here are some pictures. I will be out of town for a while so Happy Holidays to all and I look forward to seeing some of you at NAMM.
Cheers,
Gil

Nice!
What is that pre-OD network? It looks like you still have the 470K//47pF combo except the cap looks way bigger than 47pF.
EDIT: looks more like 4M7//.0047uF?

Re: Death by Conversion II Pictures
Gil sometimes uses a pre-od network that adds a series cap to reduce the effective size of the .05uf CL2 cap. I like this idea too. I use another .05uf. Gil has used as small as a .0047. You get a really smooth grit free tone as you reduce the coupling size, but at the expense of the infamous Dumble growl (that I love). YMMV and IMHO.

Scott,
That makes sense...especially since I added a .0047uF cap to my OD entrance too (previous, recent thread). At first I didn't notice it was a 4.7M resistor.

As Scott mentioned, I use a .0047uF//4.7Meg in two out of three of my amps. It's, to me, an easy way to achieve "ultimate texture" in the overdrive channel. My amps start without it, then I listen and add it if necessary.Fischerman wrote:Nice!
