Mat,

The values of the drive and level pots are 250k and 1M (this level pot has a 250K to ground to mimic a Ratio pot)

I cannot record here.... If you want to hear it you are welcome to come over and play it. :D

I can attest for Purple

I didn't goop my amp, but on my 4x6V6 HRM with Dumbleator and Reverb, I used silicone to stabalize the preamp components, especally the cabs. I'm not sure it's the result, but at the gig tonight I felt the amp was MUCH brighter. It had that added ping on attack that's been missing. It really cuts through well now. The soundman told me he boosted at 250Hz to fill it out a tad.

I'll add a disclaimer though. I also changed out the speaker jacks which were pretty cheezy, with switchcrafts. That alone can account for the brightness, but I'm sticking to the silicone story.... yep, that it.. silicone.

Until I do this to the next amp and change my mind.

Well, the OD can be loud even when the Master is turned down

The clean master is 1M-A and the OD level is 1M-A too.

Thanks! My masters are not balanced at all. Maybe a wiring issue... I think I turn it to single master amp and see what happends.

Did you check out that RTV wasnt corrosive or an electrical conductor. I have had problems w the cheap stuff w shorting board cameras siliconed onto stainless enclosures.
