Transformer for Re-amping device
I've been wanting to try a re-amping device for a while now, and I came across a schematic for one recently. The idea seems interesting, and I should be able to build one relatively cheap. The only thing that has me confused is the transformer.... the tansformer is listed as " a 500 ohm / 30 kilohm audio transformer, such as a UTC 0-10" .... I've done some searching and I've come up with nothing. I've never seen a transformer listed with just impedance before (although I can see why that would be the most important factor in a piece like this...) Can anyone tell me what to look for, or where I can get a nice trannie for this? FWIW.. I'm allready on 10 piece pricing with MM..... Many thanks for all of your help!

That's an interstage transformer with a 60/1 ratio. Give these guys a call and see if they can help you:

You might try the Edcor line of matching transformers. Looks like this one might work.
