Need a Chassis 5D2

Post by Blind Lemon »

Got an original 5D2 cabinet only. Looking for an either original or repo chassis. The 5F2A chassis is too wide. Needs to be 13.5 inches wide. Any help would be appreciated.

Contact Brian, the guy who makes these:

This is a side business he does for fun and keeps his prices low. He works in aluminum, which you can polish to a mirror shine. If you give him the dimensions, he will do a custom chassis for about the same price. I don't think he drills them - ask, and if you have a drilling template, he might. He will cut an IEC hole for you. You don't need to go through ebay to do business with him, but I'm not comfortable giving out his email. I have purchased several chassis from him. They are very nice. He'll cover details and any questions you might have. He's an all around nice guy as far as I can tell. I think I found him on AX84.com.

Brian's site is www.ddawgamps.com. I did some work with him when I built my version of the AX84 Lead II amp. (DD-30). Good guy. Not sure he is still doing custom chassis.
