I stopped using 1/2 the wire. I go hot chassis and work in lineman's gloves.

John,
I actually am building an amp right now and I really did run out of black wire for the grounds. The build is sort of a tweaked 5F6A in a 2*10 combo. A pair of 6V6 for the output--maybe a British Bassman Deluxe?

Martin,
Yeah, ground wires are best if they are organic.
What?

Which gloves work best for chording? Rubber tipped fingers? How's the tone of those?

Wireless or you lose touch and all other senses. Just that one final confusing pulse of synapse.

At the rate we are going you'd better get anything requiring electricty done in the next few months. They are going to close civilization down sooner than later.

ZING! Best one so far.

Jana, tweaked 5F6A in a 2x10, I'd have to call that a Mini Blues Breaker. Official model name JTM15. I'll bet it's a treat. Plus much more portable than the full size BB.

Been enjoying this midwinter folly. 'Fasching' for techs. Fill that stein one more time & "prost" again.

The only important rule here really is to always use wire with clear see thru jacket. It's far more transparent sounding than colored wire. Do that and cap value won't even matter unless you go way overboard and put say a 40pf in place of a 10pf. Then you may as well find a new occupation because your amps are gonna sound like junk even with clear jacketed wire.
