I have an old Selmer Stadium which was cut and butchered before I got it.
Nearly every resistor and capacitor was either noisy or leaky; even back to stock it sounded... meh.
The power amp (2xEL84) and P.I. are in a separate enclosure from the preamps.
So.
On the preamp assembly I have 4 noval sockets and 6 controls.
Original design used 3 x EF86 (which I'd like to use) and a twin triode.
Wondering if I can set the first two EF86s like a typical Fender preamp, and perhaps use the third as an overdrive option, with the twin triode as a follower. Exciting times
Soldano springs to mind.
The finished product would be for studio use, not the road. No footswitches, just panel control; one-trick-at-a-time-pony.
Oh, what to build?
