i narrowed (i think) a problem i've encountered today
a 6V6 on a working fender champ: 1.6VAC on the grid results in 30VAC on the plate.
my other one, a new build, seemingly destroyed by a neg FB gone bad....
1.6 VAC on the grid results in 6 VAC on the plate. So far i am at loss....
any ideas?
cathode bypass and resistor both fine. OT seems to be fine. could the filter cap be filtering out too much? did i kill a resistor in the power supply?
short of tearing the whole thing apart, i don't know where else to check.
Why won't it amplify?

30 volts on the plates?
there should be over 300 volts on them. that could be why.
