Speaker Gasket Glue

Post by FunkyE9th »

Hello all,

I have a speaker gasket that's coming off. It's coming off from another layer of the gasket, not the frame. Any preferred glue used for this?

Thanks!

I would probably just use Elmer's white glue for that.
It' like a layered paper isn't it?

Yup, it's like layered paper. I was thinking Elmer's white glue too, but was also wondering if something flexible might be better.

I've reconed a few drivers before and white glue (aliphactic resin) is what they send in the kits.

Those layers of paper seem to come apart with very minimal effort. So I just assumed I didn't need some super strong adhesive, ended up just using a glue stick I had around the house. Will see how it holds up...
