Re: good kitty
Its three pieces of sheet metal in a box of bits with a speaker and a verb tank.
It has a SS verb drive/recover. The OPT is above the chassis and designated
"opt-12w" and "682 649". components are mounted on tag strips riveted to the chassis.

Cool looking amp!
Hear me roar!
Never seen one of those before.
What tubes does it use? EL84's?

Re: good kitty
yes/no 6BQ5, one bad solder join, plate circuit of the inverter.
Right on par, tone wise, with a traynor, still have to button it up.
But ..... I still have to sketch the inverter to see if theres anything unique.
Schematics online suggest cathodyne but it looks like cathode coupled long tail.

Re: good kitty
Cathode coupled yes, long tail no, nothing special, very simple.
One gain stage before the inverter, the tones are treble bleeds on the inputs.
The trem and verb suck by any more than practice amp standards.
But... the power side is a nice familiar 12w 6BQ5/EL84, good pt/opt.
Nice to see an all original piece w/tags.

Would make a nice amp to couple with the new & cheesy looking Dusk Tiger from Gibson. The amp is not looking cheesy at all though. Neat!

Re: good kitty
EIA code on the speaker is 270 Quam-Nichols, never heard of them.... but construction & wiring is OK.
