I recently found a couple NOS tubes in my dads basement including two RCA's but there are two tubes im interested in finding info on.
One is a Nutone 12AX7A it also says RCA in smaller printing which is hard to read, i tried a google search and couldnt find any info.
The second is a USA Zenith, im wondering if theyre any good in ODS type amps
Thanks!

Re: Looking for some NOS tube info
Send us a pic of them. Looks like the first one is an RCA, just rebranded. The Zenith is a rebrand, with a pic we can identify the manufacturer.
Can you read the number codes on them? For example, a GE made tube might have 188-5 on it, this is a GE factory code.

Re: Looking for some NOS tube info
the nutone is hard to read but i definatly see xx-95 (the first x looks like it could be a 5 or 6)
the Zenith has 63-48 on it and has what looks like 189-5 (or 188-5) under it. its hard to read because it has "USA" stamped over it
i'll try to get some pics but most of the writting has been whiped off, the RCA's clearly say "RCA" in big red lettering but other than that there isnt much to read on them.

Re: Looking for some NOS tube info
I have a quite a few Zenith tubes 12AX7, 12AT7, and 12AU7 from a Hammond organ. They are microphonic with use on high gain circuits. So I use them else where.

If the Zenith sez 188-5, that indicates GE manufacture at one of the plants they used to operate here in Kentucky, probably Owensville; sut down long ago and the equipment shipped off to the Russians by way of Groove Tubes.
The "6L6GE" they sell is claimed to be made on that equipment.

The Zenith is a GE made in the 48th week of 1963. Should be a good one!
