Terminal Lockwashers
I think that is what they are called. There was a discussion about them not long ago. I tried searching no luck. Went to Mouser, who I am sure has them but I couldn't navigate their system well enough to find them. Can anyone give me a part number? I use them for grounding lugs in the amp. I had purchased some non locking but someone posted a picture of the lugs with teeth. Thanks

AES cat.# s-h112 Solder Lug - Locking, #6 Hole. I think this is what you're looking for. I use them to ground my incoming power cable to the chassis.

Thanks guys. Mouser's price is a bit better in quantity. Anybody want to split an order of 1,000 lugs?
Re: Terminal Lockwashers
Are you looking at part number 534-198, #6 screw size, with the dual holes, at $.06 ea in a quantity of 1,000? If so, I'd be happy to split the buy with you.
PM or email me and we can work out the details - my email is jaxmoons04 AT comcast DOT net.

#534-7312 #6 screw size
actually I use #4 screw size #534-7312 but I could compromise and go with #6 to enable someone else to get in on the deal. PM me if you are interested in either size. I would like to split the order four ways if possible.
I don't see 534-198 on that Mouser page.

#6 locking lug 2 holes
I have been using them for some years. I found a bunch, maybe a couple of thousand, in a real radio shack type store in Salt Lake City when I lived there, cost me about $15 or so I think. So I'm set for life!
I absolutely recommend them! You can put up to four of them comfortably on the same level, and double stack them with a nut in between if necessary. Heavily tinned and easy to solder to. No doubt just what the Ancients used!

A radio shack store that still sell parts is probably harder to find than the lugs..
Re: Terminal Lockwashers
I find the #6 lugs at my local Macs surplus center so I have plenty now.

In a pinch, if you need a good switch, fastenal sells some. Brand is Ideal.M Fowler wrote:I find the #6 lugs at my local Macs surplus center so I have plenty now.
Can also get them from an electrical store State Electric. They look just like the Carling, and price is about the same. Good to know if you come up short and need to grab a switch.

Re: Terminal Lockwashers
Would #6 be kind of small for most tranny bolts? I thought a transformer had more like #8 hardware.....? But I could easily be wrong.M Fowler wrote:I find the #6 lugs at my local Macs surplus center so I have plenty now.
Thanks
Re: Terminal Lockwashers
I never use a tranny bolt as a grounding place. I always use a dedicated screw for grounds and a separate screw for AC ground.
