Tried them in my Frenzel sweet 15 which had EH 84's. Less gain at same settings, overall clarity of notes especially the bass is improved. A friend had bought a quad and sent me these to try. I bought a quad for spares.

I don't get the attraction of a low-powered EL84. I want someone to go the other direction and making the 7189A again.
