Strip was separate from the bench. Got the strip at Menards a DIY store like Lowe's popular up North.

Yes the little wood strip is Mahogany. Very early Amplified Nation cab built for 2.5" chassis and mine was only 2" so added the wood strip.

Does anybody have a schematic (and maybe a layout) for the Hot Fudge with Nuts?

Its a relatively simple fixed bias single channel amp with bias vary trem:
  • 5AR4 rectifier
  • 2 x 6L6 (or 2 x 6V6) fixed bias output stage
  • Brown vibrolux (6G11a) bias vary trem powered by a 12AX7 LFO with CF buffer,
  • 6G3 brown deluxe 12AX7 LTP inverter (820R bias, 6k8 tail, and 100P local plate feedback),
  • NFB 56k/1k5 divider going to the LTP tail. This is variable with a 500k pot wired as a variable resistor in series with the 56k (Instead of using a 500k pot to vary the NFB, a switch to short the 1k5 would be simpler - e.g. a 1M tone pot with a toggle push-pull SPST switch.),
  • Brown 6G2 Princeton input channel (with a tweed princeton tone control and volume between V1a and V1b). V1b cathode is fully bypassed and V1a has a switchable 0.68uF/22uF cathode bypass. (Again, you could use a 1M pot with a toggle push-pull SPST switch for the volume pot to activate the Ck switching)
  • There is a 15k supply dropper between V1b and V1a, a 22k supply dropper between the LTP and V1b supply nodes, a 10k supply dropper between the screen supply node and the LTP node, and an HT choke filter between the output tube plate and the screen supply nodes.
