BTW.....
The tranny set says Canada. Is there a builder, besides Hammond, that works from Canada.?
Thanks

Cin-Tran got bought out I believe but I would just use a Marshall replacement set 60w rating such as the JCM800 2204 type.

Actually I would use Magnetic Components transformers myself.

HH,

Thanks a lot! Can't thank you enough.

Pouring over them now. Yea, I am definitely a non-pro. :)

HH,

Just stumbled onto this post and looking at the gut shots there is a little more to this amp. It employs an Ultra linear power stage but still uses a choke transformer in the circuit? The other is that there are 3 preamp tubes but only a 32/32uf cap can for filtering this stage? there must be 2 x preamp tubes sharing one filter cap?

It would be interesting to see the voltage dropping string on this baby.

Thanks for sharing the pics HH,

Rich

Hard to make out the capacitor values from the photos - but they are much appreciated.

The tone stack seems particularly unclear (250pf, 47n, 100n?), likewise I'd assume the mica cap across the phase inverter is probably smallish - maybe 47pf or 100pf but curious nonetheless. Does anyone have sharper vision than I do or other shots? I have a partially gutted Fender Bandmaster head laying around that could use something to do for fun. :D

Glad someone caught the ultra linear OT, I've read that the Doc did tweak the tone stack from the JCM also. I think the OT in the 6545 is a #3232 (Cintran?) which is also in my non Es Prescription.

the 6545 does not have the presence control. The 45 side preamp is almost the exact same as the z28 schematic that can be found online with maybe one different resistor value in the tone stack. The RT66 has a few different values than the 28 and 45 in the tone stack, sounds much darker.

hope this helps
