I've worked on a couple of Ceriatones and always been impressed with their stuff.
I added power scaling to a customers ceriatone DC30 clone and it was really nicely laid out.
I've never been a big fan of the Matchless way of using tag strip it s a service nightmare!
Ceriatones eyelet boards are much easier. So I dont doubt their Bad Cat clones will be as nice.
Cheers

not sure why such a large choke(36H) is used in the Bad Cat amp
funny the choke I'm using is close to the size of the OT
I may try a smaller one (10-20H) down the road

dcribbs,
Great looking progress on the amp. I really like the Hot Cat tone, I had a 2004 Hot Cat 30R. I sometimes had some trouble getting the amp dialed in. It was like I would have an unreal tone going for a week, then I would lose it somehow and not be feeling the amp. Then I would find that sweet spot again.

Keep us updated, I can't wait to hear the sound report. This is a build I want on my list.

Faceplates look great!

Thanks guys
I've not had a lot of experience with the Bat Cat sound
but I know the D style of amps are also hard to dial in that "sweet spot"
I'm hoping this build will allow me to tweak some kind of tone to my liking and I will continue to report progress.

Thanks

Very clean build.

Out of curiosity, where did you source your front and back plates from?

I'm glad it wasn't just me! I had the same experience.

I made them from 1/8" or so clear lexan(plastic) used waterslide lables from behind and spay painted...they look decent enough for rock n roll

I think they look great - I may steal that idea for my new build. :)

its a little time consuming but all told
I might have 50.00 in parts and paint and have enough for 4 amps
front and back...I not sure where I got the idea...probably here
was tired of builds with no labels
good luck..let me know if i can help out

didn't realize how much
having/making face-plates makes a difference to me...
kinda like a pretty face on a nice body...brings it all together
makes me want to build more...
layout is Nik's ...kudo's to him and his guys
