I use those tubes all the time, but $7 per tube is a more typical deal. Keep looking on eBay and you will find them cheaper.

They are very good tubes IMO. I use them too.
Get them for a good price before they are all snapped up.

Yep, those are what're typically rebranded as EL84Ms. 8 tubes for $65 is just over $8 per tube. What're ya'll complaining about?

Are those the Russian EL84 tubes that everybody is liking a lot?

Was it Tube Tramp (Terry) that was selling those as well?

Are there any data sheets on those?

Tom - I did see a data sheet on the net - can't find it now.
I do remember the numbers looked like a 7189 on steroids...
Claimed to be capable of handling higher plate voltages.
They do sound very, very good though.

The Russian tube numbering system is about 1/2 way down this page

http://www.tubedata.org/tubnum.html

AFAICT, K is 'vibration resistant', whereas EB is 'long life' 'high reliability' (military) designed for use in missiles and fighter jets

I have a set of these in my Liverpool and IMHO they're the best I've used thus far.
A bit ballsier on headroom and the breakup is very smooth without the fizziness I had in the JJ's I used previously. I also have a set of EI's as backup but these are better

I got 3 sets of these when they were still going around $4 each

.........Now where did I put it?
