Any experience with Mojo Speakers?

Post by mauiboy81 »

Has anyone tried the speakers that Mojo sells? How do their British Vintage series compare to the other British speakers out there? How do you feel about the Greyhound?

Aahhh Cinnamon and Gravy,

I used Mojo's 8 inch for my rjguitar supre SE combo amp, very good speaker.

Have been using the Mojo British 30 along with some English Celestion V30's and the Mojos are very good. Mojo says they use the same original components to make their speakers.

I want to get some of the American series (greyhound) and try those out.

Hi Mark, Thanks for your response. What kind of cab do you have the british 30 in? Does it go well with your various Rocket type builds?

I've never tried any of the mojo speakers, but I've been thinking of it. If you check out some of the Granger amp demos on youtube, they use mojo speakers.

I have some Mojo British 30s in a 212 open back and some in a 412.

Good speaker for the price.

http://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/speak ... sh-Vintage info on parts they use.

I put one of their G12H clones into a 2-6l6 combo, and it really opened up the high, and low response. Seems it was fairly inexpensive also.

Anyone know who makes these for mojo?
Alnico models are (were?) sourced from Eminence, WGS assembles the ceramics, or so it seems.

I used a Blue and Silver 12" in a combo. It sounded superb. I have a 15" Blue Dog I really enjoy also. I don't know what you are after but they are all good speakers.

I've used the British vintage 25 & 30 in a 2x12 cab and they sounded great. I also ordered a American vintage 10" for another amp and was surprised when it showed up it was just a relabeled weber signiture series 10" it even came in the weber box.

Yes I was referring to the Webers. I really like them. I have not tried his ceramics but would not hesitate to. I actually have a sound clip on his 18 watt Marshall clone kit. It is the 12" Blue and Silver recorded with a room mike. You can hear people in the background.
