Washers for Panel Switches

I was looking for washers for my panel mounted switched.

FYI for thoese that don't know the switch tread is 15/32-32.

It's hard to find something that looks kind of right. I've tried a 12mm washer, but most of what I can find locally is too wide. Thus, I've been using a .486 I.D. face washer(Carling switch) that I get from Watts Tube Audio.

they are almost impossible to find.

There are some shim washers out there that are close, but not perfect.

Yeah, Watts (turret boards.com) has the washers for Carling switches.

On a related note, who knows where I could get some isolating sleaves and or washers for a Switchcraft input jack? I'm going to try a multi star ground system.

You could try a "dress nut" search for those on Mouser or Digikey.

Switchcraft part numbers are: S1029 for the washer with shoulder and S1028 for it's counterpart without shoulder:

That means making the hole in the chassis and front panel bigger (approx 11.4mm, I think) to tet the shoulder washer seated.

For less hassle you can try the nylon-bushed Switchcraft jack socket that fits in the same 9.5mm hole as the metal socket that you already have - I think its part number is NL112A.
