Schematic for Palmer PDI-03?

Post by skyboltone »

Anybody ever see a scheme for Palmer's famous speaker simulator? Probably has some OEM inductors in it but I'd like to see what it's all about anyway.

The guys on the gearpage recording section speak in exalted tones about it.

There's a guy who plays at our church on occasion who uses a PDI-03 with his Splawn head and it sounds great. Not sure what's going on inside there, but it's the real deal.

Flood, all of the transformers in the PDI-03 are custom wound by Palmer Germany. They sell some but I not the ones *in* the PDI-03:

There is a good thread on SLOclone about the PDI-03 and one was reverse engineered and documented, but it kind of trails off before all conclusions have been reached. I think VintageKiki's schematic is of an earlier version of the PDI-03. I have attached what I have gathered on it here (and in the next post).

Is this thing worth reverse engineering?
