If you draw 1mA = 0.001 and Rtypical is 100k...

I use 1/2 watt should be no problem.

Thanks. I normally use 1w because the leads are much thicker, but i needed a value i didn't have in a 1w. I will replace it next time i order resistors, thanks.

Over rating on wattage can help to cut down on hiss.
