Hughes and Kettner Duotone Schematic *Found and Posted*

Post by Blindog »

Hello all,

I'm hunting a schematic for a Hughes and Kettner Dutone, 50W combo. I've found just about everything they make by Googling, EXCEPT the Duotone!

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful!

Regards,

Mark

Edit: H&K denied me, got a copy from a cool dude that posted some mods of his amp on YouTube 8) Gotta love the Internets

Now all we need is someone to work up a layout for it, cool amp but way to expensive to consider in the UK.

One year ago I found a forum user (don't ask me where, I forgot) who claimed to have all H&K schematic. We are talking about some tenths of GBs.

I have to found him in my email and the maybe send him a SD card by mail.
I'm interested into the Puretone.

Tried one a few years back, great tone and very strat friendly

Now if you could just find one for an Alamo Paragon I'd be one happy camper!

Check out the tubemiester, just acquired after my mesa crapped out, for a production amp this has a cracking tone, uber strat friendly and plenty of gain on tap, seriously guys if you haven't tried one give it a go, great little amp for smaller gigs

Yeah, I've been meaning to try out a Tubemiester, looks cool. This Duotone is my first experience with any H&K amps...I had a chance to acquire this amp at a really great price because it needs some TLC, hence the need for the schematic. Looking forward to playing it!

***UPDATE***

I actually wrote it down when I took the amp apart :)

It’s wired like this (“O” is no wire). It doesn’t matter which way you hold it as you can reverse it if the channel select is opposite.

O O
R/B O
G O

***End Update***

I know this is old, but I am hoping someone can help.

I was missing the channel select switch, so I ordered a replacement. I’m trying to wire it up, but am unsure from the schematic how to do so. Is there anyone that can tell me how to connect the green blue red wires to the ON ON switch?
