New Battery Technology on Horizon

Post by Structo »

Scientists at NTU Singapore have discovered a way to make
batteries that power phones, tablets, laptop computers last longer and charge faster.

Like 2.8 minutes to charge

If it can produce B+ of 300V-400V, we can finally have transformerless tube amps that are safe! This looks like the invention of the century.

Think how it will affect batteries in electric cars!
Longer range, quicker charging and much longer life.

The biggest issue with current lithium batteries is it takes a long time to charge them.
The average life cycle for Lithium batteries is around 500 cycles.

This new tech will provide 10,000 cycles with a battery life of 15-20 years.

Don't get too excited. The big oil companies will probably buy up that technology.

Don't get too excited. I see stories like this twice a month..

Charge time is a biggie. Capacity is crucial. Umm..
