4.3 kohms OTs

I'm concidering buying a couple of 4.3k OTs, which is perfect for a Rocket, i.e a quad of EL84s, but these are 60W OTs mainly for mid end HiFi. What other tube alternatives could be a good mach for these OTs?

Perfect for four 6V6's or a pair of 6L6's.

A pair of 6L6 running around 500V B+ are almost perfect.

Kt66 and with 400 volts or less even a kt77 will be happy!

2xEL34 on 400V for ca 45W output power or on 500V for ca 70W.

Are you getting Dynaco ST70 A470 OT by chance (4.3K/35W@20Hz-50W@30Hz)? Either way, might want to look up the A470 trannies in the DIYAudio forum and google too, lots of people played around with various tube combinations in ST70s and MK3s over the many decades.

Sorry, - not 470s, but Hammonds.. trick is these are available almost locally, so postage is medium and no tax.. :-)
