Who are you guys using for amp chassis?

Post by mcrracer »

I have been out of building for about 3 years. I am going to try to build an Express inspired 10 watt amp. I need a 16" X 8" chassis with an IEC punch in it. If I could get the tube holes and control holes that will help me greatly as my eyesight is still pretty weak. Who are you guys getting your chassis from these days?

Bob Houlton at rjguitars.net has everything you need for any TW build including extremely well made aluminum chassis, fully drilled.

I have been buying his stuff for a while now and can unreservedly recommend him.

All Metals in Allen, Texas. They will build to your CAD drawings, so make sure they are correct. They will also reformat your crappy CAD drawings in case you happen to be an electrical engineer that makes crap mechanical CAD drawings...

This is a production facility, though, not a little mom n' pop fab.

I'll second RJ for TW-style chassis. He's got plenty of other parts, too, if you need 'em!
