PV 30 Schem Quest

Post by C Moore »

For the reverb circuit.....
Maybe I am looking right at it.?
But I am use to seeing a symbol that looks like a spring reverb tank.....like on a BF Fender schem.

1. What represents the tank on this PV schem.? I was assuming it is the J29 J30 J31 connections.?

2. Can I tell, from the schem, if one or both of the shielded cables are grounded to the tank.?
Thank You

It looks like J6 and J29 are the send to the tank. J6 is the signal or center pin. J29 would be the shield. The shield looks to be floating.

J30 and J31 are the return from the tank. J31 would be the signal or center pin. J30 is the ground which would probably be grounded to the tank.
What?

I have seen that 4558 chip burn up to different degrees on these amps so be sure to check the electrolytic caps in that part of the circuit!
