I bought this lot of unused tubes from some guy in Manila and included in the package was a pair of these tong-like things. What could they be for? FWIW, the clips grip the 6L6GCs I bought from him quite snugly.

It really looks like it's from a work lamp but it's missing the spring clamp from the pivot end with the bolt!

Can't really tell if it is big enough, but my guess would be some kind of guitar (or other instrument) wall hanger. Maybe it got separated from the rest of the assembly?

Either that or an alien anal probe. (The UFO kind of alien)
