Last night while working on yet another Fender AB165 Bassman circuit I had my RCA RC-30 tube book out and as I was thumbing thru it taking a dinner break I happened to stop on page 696.
There on that page , and even though I have been there before I see that in 50 watt amp build that they show there that the circuit uses the same inverse resistor feedback loop from the power tubes plates to PI section that the Bassman in front of me uses!!
I think the RC-30 Msnual came out in the late 50s and it took Leo some 6 years to try out a new output stage topology and and thought it was a good fit for the second try Blaceface Bassman circuit! ?
