While on this topic... I have tested ESR on the F&T caps as well as others. ESR is much lower than JJ caps and even Sprague. Makes me wonder about all of the hype about the Spragues. Btw, I almost always use F&Ts unless specified by the customer.

I think sprague 'used' to be the bomb, but newer companies are doing just as good if not better. Sprague holy days are somewhat past they've been bought up by Vishay and are probably the focus of cost cutting instead of going for the highest quality possible (imo anyway) That's not to say they suck, but I've heard a few people here and there complaining about the newer ones.
