This one looks like a masterpiece built out of scrap material. This is just my kind!
(plus the "monkey detail" is outstanding)

Re: Monkeymatic Half Dome
I got quotes for a custom travel case from four companies--price ranged from $250-350 not including shipping. So I decided to build one. I spent about $100 on these ingredients:
12mm birch plywood
4" butterfly latches
corners
handle
screws
feet
1/2" closed-cell foam
1/2" weather stripping
spray paint
rubber cement
It took about six hours, which is fine if I'm doing it for myself, but I'd definitely order from a company if a client wanted one.
Anyway, the fit is perfect, and the amp remains sitting on the base during performance, making life easy.
I ordered a vinyl monkey for the front. Will post.

I sold this some time ago, but wanted to add a last photo of the hard case--I had a nice big monkey cut from vinyl:

Wow Xtian, I thought I saw all your builds here. Somehow I missed this one. Great work, especially the cabinetry! And the back-lit logo was a great touch. Good build thread too. Congrats.
