No, not normal. You have recapped the power supply, including the bias supply caps? What changes did you make to turn the tone around?

I recaped the power supply this got rid of the excessive Hum and noise I also replace the powertube cathiode resistor to a 10watt the had a,2 watt cc R I upped the powertubes cathiode bypass too a 1000uf 63v they had a 20uf 25v. Im gonna replace all the preamp bypass caps they are all of value 5uf 10 uf, I have some 15watt heyboer output transformers im gonna try one the OT that in there now is dinky like blues Jr OT, IM just gonna try it I also replaced the recto diodes, thinking about replacing tremlo pot it seems kinda fast would like to slow it down a hail

Here's the output trany im gonna try to see if they help one on left is from a Hammond ao39 chassis, one right is a brand new heyboer 15 watt 5.9k wth 4 8 and 16 taps I just wanna get the volume up in this amp it's way to quiet
