Does anyone have more pictures of a non reverb/head version? I've built mine with 32uf -> 1K -> 50uf -> 11K -> 32uf filtering and I get a very slight 120hz hum. If I change the 11k to 4.7k and add another 4.7k and 32uf node to separate the PI from the Preamp, it is dead silent.
I've tried matching the general layout to the real ones as best I can with the minimal photos online. I have noticed that most of the more recent ones I've seen have the can cap next to the OT which requires a long wire run from the power switch...but placement of that can/wire seems to have no effect on the hum for me. Elevating the AC or adding DC heaters also has no effect on the hum. I built it with all .022uf caps. I am out of .1uf at the moment but I plan to try swapping those in for the PI.
Am I missing something maybe? Surely the real ones don't hum, correct? Sure I could just leave the extra filtering but I am trying to keep it as true to the original as I can.
