Hammond AO-43 conversion

Post by menlow »

Hello everyone, first time poster here!

I've built a couple paint-by-numbers kit amps before (MOD 102, Trinity TC15) and now I'm preparing to rebuild an old Hammond AO-43 for guitar. My plan is to rebuild the amp according to the Ceriatone Lightning layout. I haven't yet received the chassis but it's on the way. I figure I'll be salvaging the chassis, transformers, and tag board and most of the passive components will be replaced.

I've read up on chat boards, books, and articles and I'm thinking it's time to just kind of jump in. "Sh-- or get off the pot" as my granmda used to say. Just wanted to introduce myself and apologize in advance for my future questions, and to thank you all in advance for any insight you might provide.

Cheers!

There's a LOT going on in that thread. I've been going through it for the last few days.
