i saw the following products and they look cool.
i wonder if it is possible to substitute the traditional circuit / soldering job in amp world into them.
they provide the firm connection (from vibration, corrosion...) .
and have some modules like relay and so on.

Re: solderless terminal blocks on DIN rail
Seems very cool, but what would be the cost? I've seen this kind of innovation in other areas, like network cabling etc, and it ends up costing a lot more up front for time savings in labor. For amps it would possibly not worth paying 5X the cost for it to save an hour of labor. If you're mass producing them, it may become feasible. (Or maybe it's just a tad bit more expensive, in which case it may be worth it?)

Re: solderless terminal blocks on DIN rail
I use these all the time at my job.
I don't consider them very useful in amp building. For the size of an amp chassis they would take up a lot of space. They work great if you need a lot of wires coming to a single buss, not very practical for a point to point amp.

when you making a prototype amp (frequently changing values / components) , is it worth to use?harleyboy2112 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 3:04 pm I use these all the time at my job.

It could come in handy for that.
I like to use substitution boxes for that kind of thing.

For prototyping power supply sections I can see use for it, other than that I can see a amp being a oscillating nightmare using those !
