Amps sounds great! All that great tone at a real bargain compared to building a push pull amp!

I'm way late to the party, and I see you've got the ringing problem resolved. When you said disconnecting the NFB reduced the amplitude of the ringing, that was a red flag for me. I would have suggested swapping the OT primary wires....

There is no global NFB in this amp, only a local triode NFB, so, nothing having to do with the OT.
