The benefits of being a software/systems engineer I guess
I was on the internet before it was called that, back at the Univerisity of Utah on Arpanet. I used the pre browser NCSA Mosaic, before Netscape came out (that became mozilla and then firefox).
I'm not old hat on tube amps like many here, but I am on the intertubes

Right? Gopher! WAIS! The Well, DARPA. And before that, 300 bps (THREE HUNDRED BITS PER SECOND!!!) dialup modems and BBS systems backed up to cassettes!pompeiisneaks wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 5:09 pm The benefits of being a software/systems engineer I guess

Yup, so if anyone watched, I'd love feedback on what I can do better to make it more interesting for the gang

I just use a snap center punch to locate the holes then remove paper and drill holes.
Most of the time I just eyeball using components as my size/spacing guide when I build custom boards since I would not have a paper pattern because I have no clue how to use most softwares to make a pattern. I also have new fiber boards especially Fender Reverb AB763 that I can use as a guide to make single channel boards from since Fender used the same circuit in so many models.
Many ways to get the job done. Glad to see you love dogs as much as I do.

Oh that's a great idea on the punch, Ihave them and use them to mark drill holes for my chassis' I work on, didn't think about it for the boards! Thanks

If I want to copy a turret board I use stiff wire in a small drill to go through the turret onto new board to mark all the turret locations onto the new board.
I made 3 5E3 boards for my friends that way using a nice turret board they had.
