Hey Guys, I am working on an amp build for a friend and he brought me a pair of Transformers from a 100W peavey Valveking. I have attached the schematic. I am trying to decipher their cheap way of getting around the filament current cost.
It Looks like the first two preamps are ran parallel with DC voltage and then the 6l6 outputs and P.I are ran Series. It looks like the 6l6 pin 2 connections are floated with 100uf/50v caps. and then pins 9 of V1 and V2 are floated with a 1000uf/35v cap. Can I get away with copying this wiring without rectifying to DC?
