- the depth control (standard 4n7//1MOhm isn't bad);
- the "focus" control, to call it à la Rivera (a 250k log pot in series with the 39kOhm feedback;
- change the 25k lin presence pot with a 10k lin one.

That makes the standard slo a real versatile amp.
i don't have much technical knowledge.
what is the "focus" control and which amp has it??

Breaking off Belton tube socket pins so going to switch over to ceramic tube sockets if that doesn't work I'm going to try a work around the will still look the same as stock bare buss just not bend the tube socket pins.

Idnotbe, as described in your quoted text, it's a variable negative feedback control.

though the schematic is too complected for me, it seems to adjust overall nfb level.

Finally received my Heyboer SLO100w tranny set and the box looks like it was tossed around. Box busted open and choke visible from outside box. Feet bent on OT and PT and corners scuffed up.

I need to call Heyboer about their poor boxing method and I hope this set works properly.

No wiring diagram either.

They got bangged up good in delivery, poorly packed so I let Heyboer know I was not happy. They offered to replace but I said I would try them.

Got side tracked with my plexi builds guys wanted them finished.

I am not going to rush my SLO build it requires a lot of photo reviewing and careful wiring. Don't know how they could possible rush production.

I will get back to the amp soon.

Hey there... Just curious if you ever completed this build. If so, do you have any gut shots? Did the Heybooer transformers work out for you?

Never worked on them after that post. I moved right when covid hit so had to go through covid illness plus the move. 3 years later I did unpack every amp and parts so maybe this winter I can build the SLO.

Aww Mark I was wondering what happened to you. I hope everything is ok now. I must have taken a while to unpack all those amps

Well actually my son helped me on Monday to move a bunch of amps, so I was not done.

Sold a JTM50 amp/chassis only, no cab last week and that thing kicks butt through a Marshall cab.

Hope you get your slo build on the way Mark!

I avoided using vactrols with my build... but I also designed my own PCB's with relays.
