Mesa Mk5 35 switching issues

Post by jestaudio »

Bit of a weird one and hopefully someone will have the answer as Mesa are being evasive to say the least, the channel switching , boost etc all work fine using the standard mesa switch supplied, I made a cable up to use my amp gizmo from the spec mesa supplied and get some pretty horrendous relay pops etc , had a look to see if there was anything particularly special about the original switch and cant see much ap[art from a few diodes which I would imagine are for flyback protection,

Note, I did ask RJM as they have a custom cable that they refuse to ship to the UK, bit pants really, I have a product and they don't want to sell me the correct cable lol

Sounds like your switching gizmo is applying D.C from LED supply back to the audio side of the amps switching opto couplers as there are no relays!
