Steve Luckeys website OK?

Post by pjd3 »

Hi there, just went to Sluckey's website, says something about server not granting access.

Just trying to figure out if its something on the sites end or this end.

Thanks,

Phil D.

Ahh bummer man!

Is it the cost?

If so, how much does it cost you on a regular basis? I've got a server here at home that's got plenty of bandwidth if you're not getting massive traffic. If you are, maybe host the files here or on el34world just for the amazing resource they are?

I can create a separate thread area here that's something like "Sluckey Designs Incorporated" and put the stuff there, if you'd like! (under the 'hot rods' of course! ;D)

I can help as well if it is the hosting.

I have hosting plan at a hosting provider that can certainly take the site.
It’s fast and reliable and besides few other things holds the info from Rob Livesey Dumble archive already.

Let’s not loose such a valuable resource!

I took it down because I'm heading in a different direction. Focusing on other aspects of life. Wanna buy some amps?

Oh well then, in that case, I wish you the best in whatever it is! You'll be missed, but I do get the need for change :)

Have a great one! Sadly I already have too many amps myself :D

Hey Steve, I thank you for all the great contributions and helping me along the way in my new amp building adventure. Its been kinda amazing to be able to build an amp thats used in my "2nd job" as a side income and of course, for a little fun out playing to crowds. I intend to keep it up for a while and have a short collection of classics. Good luck with all you do!

Thanks,
Phil D.

Leaving won't be like flipping a switch. I expect to be around for a long while. Just gonna slowly fade away.

I don't think xtian can be given the honor of creating the web archive. That thing has been around forever and holds snapshots of many websites that have been up for a while. You can look at site's you used to browse way back in say 1999 or so and see how they started :) It's a pretty cool project.
