Paraphase PI and Conjunction FIlter /HiCut and other controls?

Post by Mr. Lime »

Currently I'm thinking about converting my 6V6 Hoso56 amp in something more like a Fender Tremolux with Paraphase PI.
I've read somewhere that the Vox HiCut control won't work with a paraphase PI and I wonder why?
Fender 5D5 for example has a snubber cap between the anodes of the PI as well which is basically a conjunction filter just like the HiCut..
Does the local feedback loop of the second stage that turns the phase is causing problems?
What if a simple lowpass filter to ground is used between the two stages is used instead?

The floating Paraphase inverter has the cathodes tied together. Is there any benefit from not seperating the cathodes?
Someone could inject a global negative feedback loop in the cathode of the first PI stage if there is no cathode shareing..
