Just in case anyone needs a road map for these cool little amps.
These amps have a tweedy flavor and with a larger speaker can really take off nicely.
A list of changes
1. Add virtual center tap
2. Re-arrange grounds to a more suitable and typical manner
3. Add one more reservoir cap in parallel.
4. Three prong plug
4. Remove the exciter lamp circuit
5. Remove optical and magnetic input
6. Set up a 12A input 1M/68k
7. Eliminate the 6X4 heater ground
8. Adjust the heater circuit
9. Reset the switch and Fues to the hot side of AC
10. Check Plate dissapation
I am finishing up a wine crate 10" speaker cab and the URS Green box will nestle inside the
cab and allow for the amp to run the 10" speaker from the extension jack.
It was quite yummy, now it runs very very quiet. I also have a shunt box so I can use the amp as a pre-amp feed to another amp, which sound amazing.
