Rivet terminals

Post by WhopperPlate »

Does anyone know of US source for these type of things?

http://www.mootio-components.com/termin ... 14044.html

I am making my own terminal strips , but finding the actual terminals themselves is proving challenging . Everything is either tubular wire mount or bolt/post mounted.

Worse comes to worse I can steal from premade terminal strips , but I would rather not. Hopefully finding these is just a me problem and one of y’all can steer this fool in the right direction !

Cheers everyone and thanks

I would have thought by now maybe a tip, but considering how I have been spending all my free time looking with no luck I guess that stands to reason lol

I gave it a go using reverse image search. All I found that was a good match was the site you listed. And lots of bike chain parts (it does look remarkably like a bike chain link). Sorry...best of luck on your search!

Essentially, I just want to build these using g-10 instead of Bakelite. Why these riveted terminals are so hard to
find unmounted is beyond me …

They either end up exorbitantly priced , require steep shipping fees, or both :

I could literally buy a bag of terminal strips from a usual suspect and cut them out with a clippers to reuse and get more than 5 times as many for the cost of these at bulk pricing lol

One of my tasks at work is locating hard to find items such as this. I've spent a considerable amount of time looking with no more luck than you have had, but I haven't given up.

I did find some solder tabs with two holes, you might be able to use those with a separate eyelet rivet, but they would need to be soldered after swaging them. DigiKey has the best selection I've seen on these.

I found this for you, on Mouser:

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Ke ... kyZA%3D%3D

Two weeks lead time, buy at a thousand for $0.22 per. But per your comment, you can harvest them for cheaper, although perhaps they would be beat up by then, and take more blood and sweat to manage. I called Keystone and they claimed to not even carry these, although Mouser has Keystone's name on them. They must have a middle-man deal on the supply.

Keystone claimed the only supplier they knew of was Daystar in Chicago and they "went out of business". Good luck with the search.

EDIT: Also found this:

Just plug it in, man.

Appreciate you Pal, thanks for the extra effort ! Very cool 8)

I can order 1200 for over 100 euro (100 euro minimum order). Might just have to bite that bullet with shipping as well
