Bypass master volym

Post by Kee22 »

Hi

Im a newbie so I apologise if Ive done something stupid. Tried to bypass my master volym in what i think is a bassman circuit. I think its a pre pimv master volym. So I took the wire on lug 1 on the master pot and soldered it to lug 2 on the treble pot, bypassing the master volympot. No Ive got no sound ? The amp is a noname top with a bassman cicuit (not 100%) and unfortunately there´s no schematic. Any suggestions?

(the red wire on the second pot from the left was the one I moved)

Good thing it was shorting as that will not harm a tube amps outout transformer like a open circuit can if your pumping audio through the amp.
