Non-Power Supply Ground Wires

Post by Magnatron »

I know it's a good idea to keep power and AC grounds away from the rest of the circuit grounds -- particularly the power transformer -- but should circuit ground wires be kept also away from any other transformer such as OT or reverb?

In general, I wouldn't worry about the physical location of ground wires in relation to other wires and components, just where they are actually connected.

One main thing to start with is with the secondary center tap off the PT.

This ground wire needs to right to the first power supply filter and then a wire is run from there to a post on the chassis where all other combined main grounds go to.

Meaning like all the combined grounds from the preamp section .
The Pi should get its own separate ground wire off of its filter node.
