Fender question

Post by hebaton »

Does anyone know ehn Fender started putting all the pots on PCBs ?

I may be interested in a 1990 DEluxe reverb RI but its in another town and the guy doesn'T want to open it.
Would this have the pot mounted to the chassis on on a PCB ?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the pots are on a separate pcb.

THanks, I know thats the casewitht more recent ones but I was wondering about the 1990 version witch is labeled " Deluxe reverb Amp" not 65 Reverb

HOw far back do I need to go to find one that has the pots on the chassis ?

All that has to be done is to remove a knob from the amp in question and compare.

This is front pot board and a chassis mounted pot for comparison.

I asked Bing Copilot, "When did Fender release the first 65 Deluxe Reverb reissue?"

Copilot replied, "Fender introduced the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue in 1993."

The manual I posted was dated 1993.

Show us what you are looking at. The AB763 Deluxe Reverb was only produced between 1963 and 1967!

Why do you say it is a 1990? Fender was not making any Deluxe Reverbs at that time and the Reissue did not go into production until 1993.

As I recall, Fender were making valve amps with pcb mounted pots from the early 80s.
